Kory has extensive experience with over twenty-five years practicing law, being retained in over 50 counties across Texas and handling numerous jury and bench trials. He handles divorces including those with complex issues and high value assets, as well as cases involving child custody, parental terminations, protective orders, appeals and writs.

Earlier in his career, Kory represented clients in complex litigation involving real estate, construction, insurance coverage, intellectual property, personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability and civil rights – including having represented multiple Fortune 500 companies in state and federal courts, as well as representation of smaller companies, municipalities and law enforcement agencies involved in civil litigation. Kory has spearheaded teams of lawyers, taken hundreds of depositions, and has been involved in cases involving millions of pages of documents and forensic analysis of computer systems.

Kory discovered his true calling in 2014 after experiencing personal tragedy and deliberate injustice. After being wrongfully targeted by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (aka “Child Protective Services” or “CPS”) as a result of false accusations by the biological mother of two of his children during a divorce and custody action, his son and daughter were placed in the foster care system for over eight months. While disproving the allegations against him, Kory personally witnessed and documented evidence of CPS filing false affidavits, committing perjury in Court, refusing to even look at exculpatory evidence and seeking to falsify evidence produced by their own hired experts. Shocked by the corruption within the very organization that is entrusted with protecting children by promoting “the best interest of the child,” he left his position managing the Austin Office of a national litigation firm to devote his time to bringing his own children home and fighting CPS corruption. After prevailing in his own case, Kory dedicated his practice to protecting children and families with the same zeal, passion and professionalism that successfully brought his children home to him.

Kory received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1994. While attending UCLA, he interned at the United States Senate Subcommittee on Investigations under retired Senator Sam Nunn, who was the Chairman of the Armed Services Committee. Mr. Booth transitioned to law school immediately following graduation, and earned his Juris Doctor a semester early at the University of Denver College of Law in 1996.

Outside his time fighting for justice, Kory enjoys spending time with his wife Dana and their multiple children including five teenagers with some involved in competitive sports. Kory’s own competitiveness started when he took to the mat as a wrestler at the age of six, and concluded before college but not before acquiring three second place medals in the state championships and a third place medal in the Junior Olympics. Kory also declined a half-ride football scholarship so that he could focus on his studies leading to his law degree. These days Kory enjoys involvement in church, long distance running, playing chess, photography and seeking to master the art of cooking and Texas barbecue.
