Grant Quimby is a dedicated family law attorney based in San Antonio, renowned for his unwavering commitment to his client’s needs. Grant pursued his undergraduate education at Trinity University, where he excelled as a multiyear letterman on the men’s swim team and represented the university as a member of the men’s club water polo team. During his time at Trinity Grant also became an active member of the social fraternity Phi Sigma Chi, assuming leadership roles as Secretary and President. The camaraderie and shared experiences he gamed as part of a team continue to resonate with him to this day. Grant graduated from Trinity University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics.

Driven by his passion for service and a genuine desire to assist others in navigating challenging situations, Grant decided to pursue a career in the legal field. He enrolled at St. Mary’s University School of Law, initially uncertain about the specific area of law he wanted to practice. However, he recognized that the legal profession provided a practical path for him to make a positive impact in people’s lives. During his time at St. Mary’s, Grant actively participated in the Board of Advocates, an on-campus organization responsible for organizing and overseeing various advocacy competitions, including moot court, mock trial, and negotiations. He was also a proud member of Phi Delta Phi, the international honors fraternity, where he held the esteemed positions of Treasurer and President throughout his law school tenure.

Grant embarked on his legal career by working as a law clerk at a title firm, focusing on oil and gas title opinions while completing his legal studies. He thoroughly enjoyed the work, as it blended his appreciation for history, property law concepts, and the challenge of unravelling complex puzzles related to property ownership. However, Grant felt a desire for deeper human connections and sought opportunities to work closely with clients. Following law school, he transition to serving as a plaintiff’s attorney, specializing primarily in first-party insurance claims. Through this experience, Grant gained a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies within the insurance industry and discovered his passion for advocating for his client’s contractual rights.

In 2017, Grant made a decisive transition to practicing family law, a field that has since become his true calling. Recognizing that the term “family law” often carries negative connotations due to its association with conflict, Grant approaches his role as an attorney with a compassionate and holistic perspective. He firmly believes that his responsibility in a family law case extends beyond advocating for his clients; he also prioritizes the long-term health and well-being of their families. Grant understands that every family law case is unique, encompassing a distinct combination of familial, financial, and professional circumstances. As an attorney, his roles is to guide his clients through the process, offering creative solutions to address the real-world issues they face.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Grant nurtures his passion for food, dedicating countless hours to consuming food-related media and refining his culinary skills. From perfecting recipes for gumbo to smoked pulled pork, Grant embraces the art of cooking. He also finds joy in attending live music events and immersing himself in the vibrant flavors that San Antonio has to offer.
